If I’m being honest, I think most of us want to know that our lives matter.

Not because we need recognition, but because we want to believe we’re making a difference.

As I read Jael’s story, I realized something.

She wasn’t the person anyone expected.

Deborah was the judge.

Barak was leading the army.

Jael wasn’t standing in front of a crowd or leading a nation.

She was simply living an ordinary life when God placed an extraordinary moment in front of her.

And she didn’t hesitate.

That challenged me.

Because sometimes I catch myself thinking that the big moments are the ones that matter most.

The big opportunities.

The big milestones.

The moments everyone else sees.

But what if God is doing some of His greatest work through the moments no one else notices?

I’ve been thinking a lot about that lately.

As She’s Wild & Worthy continues to grow, it’s easy to focus on numbers or wonder if what I’m sharing is really making a difference.

Then I remember women like Jael.

She probably had no idea that thousands of years later, people would still be reading about one act of courage and obedience.

She wasn’t trying to become known.

She was simply faithful in the moment God gave her.

That reminds me that our job isn’t to make our lives look significant.

Our job is to be faithful.

God is the One who decides what He does with our obedience.

Maybe today you’re feeling like what you’re doing isn’t enough.

Maybe your life feels ordinary.

Maybe you’re waiting for a bigger opportunity before you really step into what God has for you.

But what if this season is the assignment?

What if the conversation you’re about to have…

The person you’re encouraging…

The prayer you’re praying…

Or the quiet act of obedience no one else will ever see…

Is exactly where God wants to use you?

Jael didn’t need to be Deborah.

She only needed to be faithful to what was right in front of her.

And maybe that’s true for us too.

We don’t have to be the main character in everyone else’s story.

We just have to be faithful in the story God is writing for us. 🤍
