For a long time, I think I connected making an impact with being the person leading.

I’ve spent years in leadership. I’m used to being responsible, making decisions, solving problems, and being the person people come to for answers. So naturally, I think part of me learned to measure my value by how much I was accomplishing.

But Priscilla’s story reminds me that some of the most meaningful things we do for God may never come with recognition.

She worked. She opened her home. She learned Scripture. She taught. She encouraged. She helped someone else become better at what God had called him to do.

And she didn’t need to be the center of the story.

That challenges me.

Because as I’ve grown in my faith, I’ve started thinking differently about what I want my life to leave behind.

I don’t just want people to remember what I accomplished.

I want people to be better because I was there.

I want my children to know Jesus because they saw something real in me.

I want the people I lead to feel like I helped them recognize what they were capable of.

I want the things I write and share through She’s Wild & Worthy to reach the woman who needs to know she isn’t disqualified from God using her.

And I don’t necessarily need to know every time that happens.

That’s something I’m still learning.

Not everything God asks me to do will come with applause, numbers, recognition, or proof that it mattered.

Sometimes the impact happens in a conversation nobody else hears.

Sometimes it’s encouraging someone.

Sometimes it’s teaching something I’ve learned.

Sometimes it’s making room for someone else to shine.

Priscilla helped Apollos understand God more accurately, and then Apollos went out and continued doing what God called him to do.

She didn’t need his platform.

She helped strengthen it.

There’s something beautiful about being secure enough in what God gave you that you don’t have to compete with what He gave someone else.

That’s the kind of woman I want to keep becoming.

A woman who knows when to lead, but also knows when to sit across the table from someone and pour into them.

A woman who doesn’t need to be the center of every story to know her life matters.

Because maybe impact isn’t always about how many people know your name.

Sometimes it’s about how many people know His because you were willing to be faithful where He placed you.
